It's hard to be an adult and suddenly have to know how to handle money. You don't just wake up one day knowing how; you make one million mistakes, and then you learn to manage money. In the meantime, it's common to be irresponsible, to spend too much, not knowing how to save, never investing... It's all part of the growing-up process, a part of adulthood. It's hard to know what to do or how to do it, but you will eventually learn, I promise you. It gets to a point where the same amount of money that used to be nothing becomes able to cover a lot of things. It's just a part of the learning process. 

Money isn't easy to make, but it's even less easy to maintain. So don't feel too bad if you are still trying to figure it out; we all kind of are. At least we can laugh about it. It's important to know the importance of a dollar, of course, but it's also important not to make that the whole focus of your life. Thinking only about money can isolate you and cause trouble to your psyche. So be aware of how you spend your money, but do not obsess over it; it's not worth it.
